Benchmark Plumbing

Job management built the way a plumbing shop actually runs

Benchmark Plumbing runs its office on JMS, a job management system we built around its workflow. One place for the quote, the job, the parts, the purchase orders and the truck that carries them.

The challenge

What needed solving

A plumbing contractor's day touches estimates, crews, trucks, a warehouse full of parts and a stack of suppliers. When those live in different places, parts go missing, jobs stall and nobody trusts the numbers.

Benchmark needed one system that keeps all of it in step, and that can grow new screens and reports as the business asks for them.

What we built

  • Estimate to job in one clickEstimates are built, printed or emailed from the system, and an approved estimate converts straight into a scheduled job.
  • Inventory that stays honestCounts, adjustments, batch updates, stock by location, customer and vendor price levels, and bulk price imports from suppliers.
  • The whole purchasing loopPurchase requests, purchase orders, receiving, returns and an ordering system, with reports that flag overages and open orders.
  • Service calls and fleetService calls tracked from first call to close, plus each truck's service history.
  • Builder fixture selectionsFixture packages for builders that can be duplicated, printed and emailed for sign-off.
