Work / WH2O
Walter Hill Plumbing & Walter Hill Plumbing East
The operating system of a plumbing company
Walter Hill Plumbing and its sister company, Walter Hill Plumbing East, each run on their own instance of WH2O, the intranet their office staff and field crews use every day. It covers the whole life of a residential plumbing job, from the first bid on a new subdivision to the final invoice, the warranty call and everything in between.

The challenge
What needed solving
Builders, superintendents, crews, the warehouse and the office all touch the same jobs. Spreadsheets and phone calls can't keep that straight across hundreds of houses.
Accounting lives in QuickBooks, and the move from Desktop to Online had to happen without disrupting billing.

What we built
- Bid to invoice in one placeBids become projects, and projects carry tasks by phase (rough-in, top-out, trim), inspections and billing.
- Crew-ready mobile viewField crews see their day, service calls and paperwork from their phones, with a dark mode that's easy on the eyes in the truck.
- Inventory and purchasingPurchase orders, receiving, transfers between locations, min/max reorder points and customer price levels.
- A homeowner warranty portalWalter Hill Plumbing's customer site lets homeowners register their home, check warranty coverage and request service, backed by live WH2O data.
- QuickBooks, both flavorsSyncs with QuickBooks Desktop, with a QuickBooks Online invoice queue and pre-flight checks for the move.
Interface shown is an illustration with sample data. The production system holds client data and stays private.
